ensure the theatre is sterile and fully equipped before surgery, assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during the procedure, and oversee post-operative patient transfer and instrument sterilization.
1. Pre-Surgery Preparation :-
- Room Setup: Checking and ensuring all surgical and anesthesia equipment (like monitors, ventilators, and surgical lights) is in working order.
- Sterilization: Autoclaving and sterilizing surgical instruments.
- Patient Prep: Assisting in shifting the patient, positioning them on the operating table, and disinfecting the incision site.
2. During Surgery :-
- Assisting the Team: Scrubbing in to pass instruments to the surgeon and assisting the anesthesiologist with IV fluids, blood transfusions, and drugs.
- Safety: Maintaining a strictly sterile field to prevent infections.
- Instrument Counting: Verifying and counting sponges, needles, and instruments before and after the operation to ensure none are retained.
3. Post-Surgery :-
- Cleanup & Restocking: Safely disposing of biomedical waste, cleaning the OT, and decontaminating instruments for the next procedure.
- Patient Transfer: Assisting the medical team in safely moving the recovering patient to the post-anesthesia care unit.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
