Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps / IaC SME (CL9) to lead enterprise DevOps transformation and infrastructure automation initiatives. The role demands strong technical depth combined with delivery ownership, stakeholder engagement, and governance alignment.
The candidate will act as a technical lead and escalation SME, responsible for designing, implementing, and standardising CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code practices across Azure environments, ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant cloud operations.
Primary Skill (Must-Have)
Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Boards)
Deep hands-on expertise in Azure DevOps services (Pipelines, Repos, Boards)
Design, implement, and optimise CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments
Strong experience in release management, pipeline governance, and automation frameworks
Expertise in repository management, branching strategies, and DevOps lifecycle management
Ability to define enterprise DevOps standards and reusable pipeline templates
Secondary Skills
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Ansible / Bicep / ARM Templates)
Hands-on expertise in Terraform, ARM, and Bicep for Azure infrastructure provisioning
Experience in configuration management using Ansible
Development of reusable IaC modules, accelerators, and deployment frameworks

Lead infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, and Ansible

Act as L3/L4 escalation point for complex DevOps and IaC issues
Troubleshoot pipeline failures, deployment issues, and provisioning gaps

Interface with clients, architects, and application teams
Translate business requirements into DevOps and automation solutions

Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)
Azure Administrator / Architect certifications (AZ-104 / AZ-305)
Terraform Associate Certification
ITIL Foundation (preferred for managed services environment)
