Job Summary:
The Architect is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The role involves preparing architectural drawings, coordinating with clients and project teams, conducting site visits, and ensuring projects are completed according to design, quality, and regulatory standards.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop architectural concepts and detailed building designs.
- Prepare 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar software.
- Create architectural plans, elevations, sections, and construction drawings.
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and ensure design compliance.
- Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements and present design solutions.
- Work closely with civil engineers, structural engineers, MEP consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and statutory approvals.
- Prepare project documentation, specifications, and material schedules.
- Review and approve shop drawings and construction details.
- Monitor construction quality and resolve design-related issues at the project site.
- Assist in material selection and interior/exterior finishing decisions.
- Attend project meetings and provide technical guidance during execution.
- Ensure projects are completed within budget and scheduled timelines.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and progress reports.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, 3ds Max, or similar design software.
- Strong knowledge of architectural design principles and construction methods.
- Understanding of building codes, regulations, and approval processes.
- Excellent drawing, visualization, and presentation skills.
- Good communication and client-handling abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
- Ability to conduct site inspections and manage multiple projects.
Qualification:
- Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) (Mandatory)
- Registration with the Council of Architecture (COA) is preferred.
