Role Overview
We are looking for an Associate Video Editor who is ready to grow beyond execution and take increasing ownership of video production. This role is for a hands-on editor who brings strong technical fundamentals, a developing eye for storytelling, and a curiosity for AI-powered production tools. You will support the Senior Video Editor and collaborate with the Marketing, Product, and Demand Generation teams to produce high-quality video content across formats that drive brand awareness and pipeline growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Video Production & Editing
- Edit high-quality videos across multiple formats with clear direction:
- Demand-gen performance ads
- Follow storyboards and creative briefs to deliver polished, on-brand edits.
- Execute revisions efficiently based on feedback from senior stakeholders.
2. Creative & Technical Execution
- Intermediate-to-advanced video editing using Premiere Pro.
- Basic-to-intermediate motion graphics and animation using After Effects.
- Audio cleanup, syncing, and basic sound mixing.
- Maintain and use branded motion templates and visual systems created by the senior editor.
- Design support using Figma and Photoshop for thumbnails, lower thirds, and static assets.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Support content creation for:
- Marketing (Campaign, Content & Brand teams)
- Product Marketing (feature launches and walkthroughs)
- Sales & Revenue teams (enablement assets)
- Demand Generation (performance creatives)
- Receive briefs, ask the right clarifying questions, and deliver with minimal back-and-forth.
- Communicate progress proactively and flag blockers early.
4. GenAI & Workflow Efficiency
- Actively learn and use AI-powered video tools such as:
- HeyGen and other AI video/audio tools
- Apply AI tools to speed up repetitive production tasks (transcription, cleanup, cut-downs).
- Stay current with GenAI trends and share relevant updates with the team.
5. Project & Asset Management
- Manage personal task queues across multiple simultaneous projects.
- Track timelines and production status using Google Sheets, Asana, or JIRA.
- Maintain organised folder structures, version control, and accurate file naming.
- Ensure timely delivery in line with campaign and publishing schedules.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience
- 3–5 years of professional video editing experience.
- Prior exposure to B2B, SaaS, or marketing technology content is a plus.
- Portfolio demonstrating editing range across various content formats.
Technical Proficiency
- After Effects (basic to intermediate)
- Audio editing tools (e.g., RiversideFM)
- AI video tools (e.g., HeyGen, Higgsfield)
- AI voice tools (e.g., ElevenLabs)
- Design tools: Figma, Photoshop Core Competencies
- Solid editing fundamentals — pacing, cuts, and visual consistency.
- Growing understanding of motion graphics and animation principles.
- Basic sound design and audio cleanup skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Collaborative, receptive to feedback, and proactive in communication.
- Organised and reliable with deadlines.
