Job Purpose
The Community Mobilizer will work closely with children, parents, families, and the local community to increase participation in education, identify vulnerable children, support school admissions, and strengthen community engagement with SES programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular household and community visits to identify out-of-school, dropout, and vulnerable children.
- Mobilize parents and children to join educational and skill-development programs.
- Counsel parents on the importance of regular school attendance and continued education.
- Support the admission and re-enrollment of children in government schools and NIOS/Open School programs.
- Maintain updated records of children, families, school status, attendance, and follow-up cases.
- Follow up with children who are irregular or absent from classes.
- Identify children requiring educational, health, counselling, or other support and refer them to the concerned team.
- Coordinate with teachers, counsellors, volunteers, and project staff.
- Organize community meetings, awareness activities, parent meetings, and outreach campaigns.
- Support distribution of educational materials, food, clothing, hygiene kits, and other program resources when required.
- Assist in organizing health camps, workshops, counselling sessions, and community events.
- Prepare daily/weekly reports of field visits, mobilization activities, and outcomes.
- Maintain confidentiality and respectful communication with children and families.
- Perform other field and program-related responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 12th pass; graduate preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children and parents.
- Knowledge of the local community and ability to conduct field visits.
- Basic documentation and reporting skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office/Google Forms will be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Sensitivity towards children and families from vulnerable backgrounds.
Key Performance Indicators
- Number of children/families reached through community visits.
- School/NIOS admissions and re-enrollments facilitated.
- Improvement in attendance and retention.
- Timely follow-up of dropout and irregular children.
- Quality and accuracy of field records and reports.
- Community participation in SES programs.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
