ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a proactive and responsible Hostel Operations Intern to support the smooth day-to-day operations of our student hostel in Pune.
The role involves managing student requirements, coordinating hostel facilities and service providers,
maintaining operational records, resolving day-to-day issues, and ensuring a safe, comfortable and well-
managed residential environment for students.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the day-to-day operations and administration of the student hostel.
- Act as a point of contact for students regarding hostel-related queries and concerns.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, security, maintenance teams and external vendors.
- Monitor hostel facilities and identify operational, maintenance or service-related issues.
- Coordinate timely resolution of student complaints and operational issues.
- Maintain hostel records, occupancy information, inventory and operational MIS.
- Support room allocation, check-in/check-out and other resident-related processes.
- Ensure hostel rules, safety guidelines and operational procedures are followed.
- Conduct regular checks of hostel facilities and report issues to the concerned team.
- Assist in managing urgent operational requirements when necessary.
- Support student activities and other hostel-related initiatives.
- Prepare regular operational updates and reports for the management team.
- Take ownership of assigned operational tasks and ensure timely closure.
ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Bachelor's degree / Graduation in any discipline.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in hostel, residential facility or accommodation management is preferred
- but not mandatory.
- Freshers with strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills can also apply.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact comfortably with students.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets and maintaining operational records.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and external vendors.
- Strong sense of ownership, responsibility and discipline.
- Willingness to work in a residential/hostel environment.
