Position Summary
An OT Scrubber assists surgeons and the surgical team during operations by preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment, handling surgical instruments, and supporting patient safety throughout surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize the operating theatre before surgery.
- Arrange surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies according to the procedure.
- Perform surgical hand scrubbing and maintain sterile technique.
- Pass instruments, sutures, and other materials to surgeons during operations.
- Count instruments, sponges, and needles before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist in patient positioning and preparation for surgery.
- Ensure infection control and compliance with hospital protocols.
- Monitor the availability and functionality of surgical equipment.
- Dispose of biomedical waste according to regulations.
- Document surgical supplies and maintain inventory records.
- Assist with post-operative cleaning and preparation of the OT for the next case.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Operation Theatre Technology, Nursing, or a related healthcare field.
- Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection-control practices.
- Familiarity with surgical instruments and procedures.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification may be preferred.
Pay: ₹13,445.69 - ₹35,126.84 per month
