Job Summary : The Senior Production Manager oversees all manufacturing operations for metal fabrication, glass processing, and lighting assembly. This role focuses on optimizing production efficiency, ensuring strict quality control, and maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will manage cross-functional teams, implement lean manufacturing principles, and bridge the gap between design concepts and final products. Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Production Management
- Schedule Workflow: Coordinate daily production schedules across metal, glass, and light assembly lines to meet tight deadlines.
- Optimize Output: Maximize machine and labor utilization while minimizing material waste and production downtime.
- Technical Oversight: Supervise metal CNC machining, welding, glass cutting/tempering, and electrical wiring processes.
- Supply Chain Liaison: Collaborate with procurement to ensure steady raw material flow and manage inventory levels. [1]
Quality Assurance & Safety
- Enforce Standards: Maintain strict quality benchmarks for high-end finishes, structural integrity, and electrical safety certifications.
- Safety Compliance: Uphold local safety regulations, ensuring proper usage of PPE and safe operation of heavy machinery.
- Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into production defects or equipment failures to implement permanent corrective actions. [1]
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and evaluate supervisors, technicians, and assembly workers.
- Implement Lean: Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S methodologies.
- Budgeting: Manage the production budget, tracking labor costs, equipment maintenance, and capital expenditures. [1, 2]
Required QualificationsEducation & Experience
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 7+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 3 years in a senior supervisory role within the metal, glass, or lighting sectors
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
