The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for driving sales growth, achieving revenue targets, managing a team of Medical Representatives, expanding market presence, and building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, distributors, and stockists within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Medical Representatives to achieve sales objectives.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies for the assigned territory.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Monitor territory performance and identify opportunities for business expansion.
- Conduct regular field visits with Medical Representatives for coaching and performance evaluation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors, hospitals, chemists, distributors, and stockists.
- Ensure effective product promotion and brand visibility in the market.
- Analyze competitor activities, market trends, and customer feedback.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to management.
- Organize CMEs, doctor meetings, product presentations, and promotional activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical marketing practices, and industry regulations.
- Recruit, train, and develop sales team members when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA in Marketing (Preferred).
Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience as an Area Sales Manager or Team Leader preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing a sales team.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
