Job Overview
KCP Eco Energy is looking for an experienced Procurement Engineer to manage procurement activities for solar EPC and ground-mounted solar power plant projects.
The candidate will be responsible for identifying and coordinating with vendors, obtaining quotations, evaluating commercial offers, negotiating prices, placing purchase orders, tracking material deliveries, and ensuring the timely availability of project materials.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in solar procurement, EPC purchasing, vendor development, material planning, and project procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement and purchasing activities for solar projects.
- Source and evaluate reliable suppliers for solar project materials and equipment.
- Identify and develop new vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers.
- Obtain and compare vendor quotations based on price, quality, specifications, and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranty, lead time, and commercial conditions with suppliers.
- Prepare purchase orders and coordinate with vendors until material delivery.
- Coordinate with the Engineering, Project, Stores, Accounts, and Management teams to understand material requirements.
- Review technical specifications, BOQs, and material requirements before procurement.
- Ensure procurement is carried out according to approved BOQ, specifications, and project requirements.
- Track purchase orders and follow up with suppliers for timely delivery.
- Monitor material availability and proactively identify potential procurement delays.
- Coordinate with the site and stores team for material receipt, inspection, and documentation.
- Maintain vendor records, quotation comparisons, purchase orders, invoices, and procurement documentation.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, price, delivery, and service.
- Support cost optimization and identify opportunities for reducing project procurement costs.
- Resolve vendor-related issues regarding quality, quantity, delivery, and commercial terms.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
