About the Role:
We are a growing precision engineering and metrology lab looking for a dedicated CMM Operator / Quality Inspector to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
Perform part clamping, stylus qualification, and routine dimensional inspection on Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
Inspect components, fixtures, and tooling using standard precision instruments and gauges (Height Gauges, Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Pin & Plug Gauges).
Read and interpret 2D manufacturing drawings and standard GD&T symbols (flatness, parallelism, true position, runout, etc.).
Prepare accurate inspection and dimensional verification reports.
Learn and adapt to modern metrology and 3D scanning workflows with guidance from our senior team.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience: 1.5 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a Quality Lab, Tool Room, or Machine Shop.
Practical Skills: Good working knowledge of part setups on fixtures and handling measuring instruments.
Drawing Knowledge: Comfortable reading basic 2D mechanical drawings and understanding tolerance callouts.
Software: Experience operating standard CMM software. Basic familiarity with PolyWorks is a plus (training will be provided for new tools).
Education: ITI (Machinist / Tool & Die) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
