Job Summary
BE/ME Mechanical or Automobile Engineering
Interiors NPD_CAD/CATIA ( 3DX/CATIA V6/V5) & Team Center Interior components like IP&CNSL, Air vents, Ducts, Pillar Trims, Door Trims) new part design, on-going product development changes; digital pre-assembly.
Key Responsibilities
- Hands on experience in Catia ( 3DX/CATIA V6/V5) (Part/surface/drawing).
- Sound knowledge in packaging study and master section creation.
- Design and development of Interior Trims from concept to final design as per the design requirements within the timeline.
- Participating in design review meetings and provide solutions.
- Knowledge in Team Center and Vismockup.
Skill Requirements
Hands-on experience in designing complex plastic mold designs like IP SUBST
- Capable to discuss with Tool maker or Supplier in all tooling related technical discussions.
- Good Knowledge in Mold flow Analysis and capable of reading Mold flow reports.
- Excellent knowledge in Plastic Injection molding
- Extensive experience of commodities development (for e.g. Interior components like IP&CNSL, Air vents, Ducts, Pillar Trims, Door Trims) new part design, on-going product development changes; digital pre-assembly.
- Extensive experience in developing CAD designs in CATIA, based on Engineering direction for commodities in above-mentioned PMTs
- Facilitating Engineering review of CAD using available collaborative tools such as Web-Ex, IM, emails etc.
- Understanding the geometric requirements within the context of the vehicle as defined by engineering requirements.
- Applying GD&T for completed designs.
Other Requirements
Strong communication, customer interaction, task coordination, and the ability to provide practical engineering recommendations within project timelines are also required.
Ability to effectively communicate project progress, issues, and status updates to the team.
