Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure engineering materials, industrial equipment, electrical, mechanical, and fabrication items.
- Identify and develop new vendors while maintaining relationships with existing suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate the best commercial terms.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs).
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with Stores, Accounts, Sales, and Project teams for procurement requirements.
- Verify material quality, quantity, and specifications before purchase.
- Monitor inventory levels and plan purchases accordingly.
- Maintain vendor databases, purchase records, and documentation.
- Track pending orders and resolve supply-related issues.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and budgets.
- Prepare purchase reports and cost analysis for management.
Required Skills
- Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and purchase documentation.
- Understanding of engineering materials and industrial products.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and ERP software (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple purchase requirements.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, ITI or any relevant discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain.
- Freshers with good knowledge of industrial procurement are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Candidate
- Experience in industrial engineering, automation, fabrication, LPG/NG gas pipeline projects, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong vendor negotiation and follow-up skills.
- Good organizational and documentation abilities.
