Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Jira Administrator with 5–9 years of experience to manage, configure, and support Atlassian Jira environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering Jira projects, workflows, permissions, dashboards, integrations, and user support while ensuring optimal platform performance and governance. In addition to Jira administration expertise, the candidate should possess hands-on experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, to support reporting, documentation, stakeholder communication, and operational activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence environments.
- Configure and manage Jira projects, workflows, issue types, screens, fields, permissions, and notification schemes.
- Create and maintain dashboards, filters, reports, and automation rules.
- Manage user access, roles, groups, and security permissions.
- Support Agile teams by configuring Scrum and Kanban boards.
- Troubleshoot Jira-related issues and provide end-user support.
- Perform system upgrades, testing, and platform maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement Jira solutions.
- Configure and manage integrations with third-party tools and enterprise applications.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, user guides, and knowledge base articles.
- Generate operational and management reports using Jira and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ensure compliance with organizational governance and security standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5–9 years of experience in Jira Administration and Atlassian tool management.
- Strong experience with Jira Software and Jira Service Management.
- Hands-on experience configuring workflows, custom fields, screens, schemes, permissions, and automation.
- Experience managing Agile boards, sprint configurations, and project setups.
- Knowledge of Jira reporting, dashboards, and advanced filters (JQL).
- Experience with user administration and access management.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reporting, pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint for executive and project presentations.
- Experience using Microsoft Word for documentation and process creation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook for communication and calendar management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Atlassian Jira Administrator Certification.
- Experience with Confluence Administration.
- Experience with Jira Cloud and/or Data Center environments.
- Knowledge of scripting tools such as Groovy, ScriptRunner, or Automation for Jira.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
