Senior Accountant – Retail Operations
Location: Kolkata (Extensive Travel Across West Bengal & Dhanbad)
Salary: Up to ₹65,000 CTC (Negotiable)
Qualification: Master's Degree in Commerce/Finance/Accounting (M.Com Preferred)
Experience: 5–8+ Years of Corporate Accounting Experience
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage and oversee the complete accounting operations of our retail business formats, including Titan Eyeplus, Titan World, Helios, and other apparel retail stores. The candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, MIS preparation, audits, compliance, and supporting new store expansions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting operations across multiple retail locations.
- Prepare and analyze Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Financial Reports for management review.
- Develop and maintain detailed MIS Reports, dashboards, profitability analysis, budget variance reports, and business performance trackers.
- Lead internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Coordinate with Statutory Auditors, Tax Auditors, and Consultants.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Professional Tax, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, ledger scrutiny, and financial controls.
- Support accounting setup and operational implementation for all upcoming store launches.
- Monitor store-wise expenses, inventory accounting, and financial performance.
- Travel regularly across retail outlets in West Bengal and the Dhanbad office for audits, reviews, and process improvements.
- Lead and mentor the accounts team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to timelines.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, MIS Reporting, Data Analysis).
- Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime.
- Expertise in Monthly Closing, Financial Reporting, MIS Preparation, and Audit Coordination.
- Proven experience in handling statutory and internal audits independently.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple locations and work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Eligibility
- Master's Degree in Commerce/Finance/Accounting.
- Prior experience as a Senior Accountant in a Corporate or Multi-Location Retail Organization is mandatory.
- Experience in Retail, FMCG, or Multi-Store Operations will be preferred.
- Willingness to travel frequently across business locations.
