The Head – Internal Audit will be responsible for leading the internal audit function, evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, identifying operational and financial risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing independent assurance to senior management and the Board. The role will oversee risk-based audits across business, operations, finance, credit, collections, technology, and support functions to strengthen governance and ensure compliance with RBI regulations and applicable statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end internal audit function across the NBFC.
- Develop and execute a risk-based annual internal audit plan covering all critical business and support functions.
- Conduct audits of Credit, Collections, Operations, Finance, Customer Support, HR, IT, Compliance, and other departments.
- Evaluate internal controls, policies, processes, and risk management frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with applicable RBI regulations, Companies Act, KYC/AML requirements, Digital Lending Guidelines, and other statutory requirements.
- Identify control gaps, process deviations, fraud risks, and areas of non-compliance.
- Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting observations, risk ratings, root causes, and corrective action plans.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Internal Audit, Risk Management, Internal Controls, and Corporate Governance.
- In-depth understanding of RBI regulations applicable to NBFCs.
- Strong knowledge of KYC/AML, Digital Lending, Credit, Collections, Finance, and operational processes.
- Excellent risk assessment, analytical, investigation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong report writing, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience in audit planning, audit execution, and audit closure tracking.
- Ability to lead teams and communicate effectively with senior management and the Board.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CA / CIA / CISA / MBA (Finance) / equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- 10–15+ years of experience in Internal Audit, Risk, Compliance, or Assurance, preferably in an NBFC, Bank, FinTech, or Financial Services organization.
- Experience in leading internal audit functions and handling RBI audits/inspections will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
