Job Summary
Suryoday Trust is looking for a dedicated and energetic PT Teacher to conduct physical training, sports and movement-based activities for children with Intellectual Disabilities. The PT Teacher will plan and conduct safe, structured and ability-appropriate activities to improve students’ physical fitness, gross motor skills, balance, coordination, flexibility, confidence and overall participation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct PT sessions twice a week for children with Intellectual Disabilities.
- Focus on developing gross motor skills, balance, coordination, flexibility, strength and physical fitness.
- Modify activities according to the individual abilities and needs of each child.
- Encourage children to participate actively and independently in physical activities.
- Maintain a safe, supportive and inclusive environment during PT sessions.
- Coordinate with Special Educators regarding individual students’ abilities and requirements.
- Observe students’ participation and progress during PT sessions.
- Provide feedback to the Special Educators and school team when required.
- Assist in organizing sports activities, Annual Sports Day and other school events.
Qualifications & Skills
- B.P.Ed., D.P.Ed. or equivalent qualification in Physical Education.
- Experience working with children with Intellectual Disabilities or other special needs will be preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of basic safety measures while conducting physical activities.
Work Schedule : 2 Visits per Week
Salary : As per discussion and experience.
Location : Suryoday RBL School, Ambedkar Nagar, Bhuigaon, Vasai West – 401201.
