Job Title: Enterprise Architect — Managed IT Services
Position: Manager Consulting Expert
Experience: 14+ yrs
Category: Support
Main location: Bangalore
Position ID: J0626-2506
Employment Type: Full Time
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Job Description:
The Enterprise Architect (Managed Services) is a strategic, client facing role responsible for bridging the gap between IT delivery and business outcomes. Operating as the single architectural authority across a portfolio of managed service accounts — with a primary focus on a Commercial Real Estate (CRE) client — you will translate complex business goals into a coherent technology strategy spanning cloud infrastructure, workplace services, service desk, networking, and database environments.
This role exists to inject architectural rigour and business aligned thinking into an account where infrastructure runs well operationally, but where the client lacks visibility of the transformation value being delivered. You will be the person who changes that narrative.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Architecture & Business Value
. Develop and maintain an Enterprise Architecture roadmap aligned to the client's CRE business strategy — covering portfolio management, tenant experience, property operations, and digital transformation.
. Translate business ambitions (e.g., smart buildings, data driven asset management, hybrid workforce enablement) into actionable technology recommendations.
. Produce executive ready artefacts: Architecture Blueprints, Technology Roadmaps, Value Realisation Reports, and Business Case documents.
. Identify opportunities for innovation, cost optimisation, and risk reduction across the account; present them as structured business cases.
. Lead quarterly Architecture Review Boards (ARBs) with client stakeholders up to C suite level.
2. Cloud Infrastructure Architecture
. Define and govern the cloud strategy (Azure / AWS / GCP) covering IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid cloud models used in the client environment.
. Ensure cloud architectures meet the client's security, compliance, availability, and cost objectives.
. Drive infrastructure modernisation initiatives — server rationalisation, containerisation, automation, and cloud native adoption.
. Oversee design standards for compute, storage, backup, DR, and resilience across all managed infrastructure.
3. Workplace Services & End User Computing
. Architect the end user computing (EUC) strategy: device management (Intune/JAMF), Microsoft 365 / Teams, VDI/AVD, and collaboration tooling.
. Align workplace technology design with CRE workforce patterns — mobile workers, on site building staff, and corporate office users.
. Drive adoption of Modern Workplace standards and improve the measured employee digital experience (DEX).
4. Network Architecture
. Provide architectural oversight of WAN, LAN, SD WAN, and building network infrastructure across the client's property portfolio.
. Design and review connectivity solutions for multi site CRE environments including retail, commercial, and mixed use assets.
. Ensure network architecture supports OT/IoT requirements such as building management systems (BMS), access control, and smart metering.
5. Service Desk & ITSM Architecture
. Define the service architecture underpinning the service desk — tooling (ServiceNow / similar), automation, self service, and AI assisted support.
. Identify and drive service improvement initiatives that reduce incident volume, improve MTTR, and enhance end user satisfaction scores.
. Align ITSM processes with ITIL best practices and the client's internal governance requirements.
6. Database & Data Architecture
. Provide architectural direction for database platforms (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, cloud native) used across client applications.
. Define standards for data management, data governance, and data integration patterns relevant to CRE business data (lease management, asset data, financial systems).
. Identify opportunities to leverage data assets for analytics, reporting, and AI driven insights within the property business.
7. Client Engagement & Governance
. Act as the primary architectural point of contact for the client — building trusted advisor relationships with CIO, CDO, and operational stakeholders.
. Chair and participate in governance forums: Architecture Review Boards, Change Advisory Boards, and Steering Committees.
. Produce regular account level architecture health reviews and present transformation progress against agreed KPIs.
. Ensure all new solutions follow the agreed architecture principles and pass design authority review before deployment.
8. Team Leadership & Internal Collaboration
. Provide architectural guidance and mentoring to internal delivery teams, technical leads, and service towers.
. Work closely with Service Delivery Managers, Project Managers, and Practice Leads to ensure architecture is embedded into delivery.
. Contribute to pre sales and bid activity, shaping technical solutions for contract renewals or expansions.
Technical Skills:
Qualifications
. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
. Enterprise Architecture certification: TOGAF 9/10, Zachman, or equivalent (essential).
. Cloud certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect (at least one required).
. ITIL v4 Foundation or above (desirable).
Enterprise Architecture Experience
. Minimum 10 years in IT, with at least 5 years in an Enterprise or Solution Architect role within a managed services or outsourcing environment.
. Demonstrated experience producing enterprise architecture strategies, roadmaps, and business cases at an executive level.
. Strong command of architecture frameworks (TOGAF, ArchiMate) and modelling tools (LeanIX, Sparx EA, or similar).
. Experience operating within a multi tower managed service context (infrastructure, workplace, service desk, network, database).
Domain Knowledge — Commercial Real Estate
. Experience working with or for a Commercial Real Estate organisation is highly advantageous.
. Familiarity with CRE business processes: property and asset management, lease administration, facilities management, tenant services, and building operations.
. Understanding of PropTech trends: smart building technologies, IoT in real estate, digital twin concepts, and sustainability reporting platforms.
Technical Depth
. Microsoft Azure (primary), AWS, or GCP — design, governance, and cost optimisation: Cloud Platforms
. Microsoft 365, Teams, Intune, Autopilot, AVD / Citrix, collaboration platforms: Workplace & EUC
. SD WAN, Cisco/Meraki/Palo Alto, MPLS, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), building network infrastructure: Networking
. ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM, ITIL process design, AI driven service automation: Service Management
. SQL Server, Oracle, Azure SQL / Synapse, data integration, governance, and analytics platforms: Database & Data
. Zero Trust architecture, Microsoft Sentinel, identity (Entra ID / AD), compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2): Security
Preferred Qualifications :
Leadership & Strategic Thinking
Technical & Delivery Excellence
. Trusted advisor to C suite stakeholders
. Ability to articulate business value of technology
. Commercial acumen and stakeholder management
. Influencing without direct authority
. Ability to simplify complexity for non technical audiences
. Cross domain architectural thinking
. Design authority and governance
. Risk identification and mitigation
. Solution innovation and continuous improvement mindset
. Delivery focus — pragmatic, outcome driven architecture
