Job Purpose
Key Responsibilities1. Academic Leadership
- Provide strategic direction for all Management programmes.
- Ensure curriculum is contemporary, industry-oriented, and aligned with NEP 2020.
- Promote innovative teaching-learning practices.
- Maintain high academic standards across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes.
- Monitor lesson plans, academic calendars, and course delivery.
2. Faculty Management
- Recruit, mentor, and retain qualified faculty members.
- Conduct faculty performance reviews and establish KRAs/KPIs.
- Encourage FDPs, research activities, certifications, and consultancy.
- Ensure proper workload distribution and faculty development.
3. Student Development
- Improve academic performance and learning outcomes.
- Promote mentoring, counselling, and career guidance.
- Support entrepreneurship, innovation, and incubation activities.
- Encourage student participation in competitions, conferences, and management events.
4. Research & Publications
- Develop a strong research culture.
- Increase publications in Scopus, Web of Science, ABDC, and UGC-CARE journals.
- Promote funded research projects, consultancy, patents, and case study development.
- Guide Ph.D. scholars and research initiatives.
5. Industry Connect & Placements
- Build strong corporate partnerships.
- Facilitate internships, industrial visits, guest lectures, and live projects.
- Strengthen placement opportunities through corporate networking.
- Promote collaborations with professional bodies and industry associations.
6. Accreditation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with UGC, AICTE (where applicable), NAAC, and statutory bodies.
- Lead NAAC, NIRF, IQAC, and ranking-related initiatives.
- Maintain academic records, documentation, and quality benchmarks.
- Prepare reports required for regulatory inspections.
7. Admissions & Branding
- Support student admissions through seminars, outreach activities, counselling, and promotional events.
- Represent the School in academic and industry forums.
- Enhance the visibility and reputation of the School.
8. Administration
- Prepare annual budgets and monitor resource utilization.
- Oversee departmental meetings and academic planning.
- Ensure timely conduct of examinations and result processing.
- Monitor infrastructure, laboratories (if applicable), and learning resources.
9. Quality Assurance
- Establish measurable quality benchmarks.
- Conduct periodic academic audits.
- Monitor student satisfaction and faculty effectiveness.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Institutional Responsibilities
- Participate in university committees.
- Support interdisciplinary collaborations.
- Contribute to institutional strategic planning.
- Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by the Vice Chancellor.
