Job Description – QA/QC Engineer
Position: QA/QC Engineer – Civil
Industry: Construction
Experience: 5–10 Years
Location: Project Site
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain quality standards at the construction site.
- Inspect civil works such as concrete, reinforcement, masonry, plastering, flooring and finishing works.
- Check work as per approved drawings, project specifications and method statements.
- Conduct inspection of incoming materials and verify quality certificates.
- Coordinate with site engineers, consultants and clients for inspections and approvals.
- Prepare and maintain IR, MIR, RFI, checklists and quality reports.
- Monitor concrete works, including slump test, cube test and sampling.
- Check reinforcement, shuttering, levels, alignment and dimensions before concreting.
- Identify quality issues and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Maintain quality documentation and inspection records.
- Ensure compliance with relevant IS Codes and project specifications.
Technical Skills Required
- Good knowledge of Civil QA/QC procedures.
- Knowledge of IS Codes and construction specifications – Mandatory.
- Knowledge of Concrete, Reinforcement and Shuttering inspection.
- Knowledge of Cube Test, Slump Test and basic material testing.
- Knowledge of Site Level, Alignment and Dimension Checking.
- Ability to read and understand Structural and Architectural Drawings.
- Knowledge of MIR, IR, RFI, Method Statement and ITP.
- Basic knowledge of Excel and documentation.
- Knowledge of NCR and corrective/preventive actions.
- Experience in coordinating with Consultants and Clients.
Preferred Advantages

- Experience handling complete QA/QC activities independently.
- Strong site inspection and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to maintain proper quality records and documentation.
