Job Summary
An HHA Trainer teaches students how to care for patients at home. The trainer provides both theory and practical training in patient care, hygiene, nutrition, safety, mobility support, and infection control.
Main Responsibilities
1. Classroom Teaching
The trainer should:
- Teach home healthcare and patient care basics
- Explain hygiene, nutrition, anatomy, and safety
- Conduct communication and employability sessions

2. Practical Training
The trainer should:
- Demonstrate patient care procedures
- Teach feeding and mobility support
- Demonstrate transfer techniques
- Teach use of wheelchairs and walkers
- Conduct hand hygiene and PPE training
- Teach first aid and Basic Life Support (BLS)
3. Skill Lab Duties
The trainer should:
- Supervise practical sessions
- Ensure safe use of equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene
- Guide students during practical activities
4. Student Support
The trainer should:
- Guide and mentor students
- Improve communication skills
- Encourage empathy and discipline
- Help weak learners
- Support interview and job preparation
5. Assessment Duties
The trainer should:
- Conduct theory and practical tests
- Prepare assignments and case studies
- Maintain student records and reports
6. Administrative Duties
The trainer should:
- Prepare lesson plans and reports
- Maintain attendance records
- Coordinate with management
- Follow HSSC and NSQF guidelines
Educational Qualification
Eligible candidates:
- MBBS / BAMS / BHMS
- OR
- B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
OR
- GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery)Experience
- 1–2 years of healthcare experience preferred
- Teaching experience is an advantage
- Home healthcare experience preferred
