Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Asset Manager to oversee the complete lifecycle of IT assets across the organization, ensuring compliance, governance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in IT Asset Management (ITAM), Unix scripting, enterprise asset tracking tools such as OpenText, and IT infrastructure management. This role requires experience in process optimization, compliance management, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage the complete lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, tracking, and retirement.
· Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
· Utilize OpenText or similar enterprise asset management tools to track, manage, and report on IT assets.
· Develop and maintain Unix scripts to automate asset management tasks, reporting, and operational processes.
· Ensure compliance with software licensing, hardware asset governance, and audit requirements.
· Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Procurement, and Operations teams to maintain accurate asset records.
· Design and implement asset management processes, workflows, and automation initiatives.
· Generate dashboards, reports, and analytics to support business decision-making and compliance.
· Support internal and external audits related to IT assets and compliance frameworks.
· Identify opportunities to optimize asset utilization, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
· Integrate asset management processes with business applications and infrastructure services.
· Provide regular reporting to management on asset health, compliance, and lifecycle status.
Required Skills
· 8+ years of experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM).
· Hands-on experience managing IT assets in medium to large enterprise environments.
· Mandatory: Strong Unix scripting experience.
· Experience with OpenText or similar enterprise IT Asset Management tools.
· Strong understanding of:
o IT Infrastructure
o Servers
o Storage
o Networking
o End-user Computing (Laptops, Desktops, Mobile Devices)
· Experience integrating business applications with infrastructure services.
· Strong knowledge of reporting, dashboards, and data analysis.
· Understanding of web applications and deployment processes.
· Experience in process definition, process automation, and workflow optimization.
· Knowledge of IT Asset Lifecycle Management and Configuration Management concepts.
· Familiarity with IT governance and compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with ITIL or other IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.
· Knowledge of compliance standards such as:
o SOX
o GDPR
o ISO 27001
· Experience supporting compliance audits.
· Exposure to CMDB, Asset Discovery, or Configuration Management tools is an advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· ITIL Foundation or relevant IT Asset Management certifications are a plus.
· Experience in enterprise environments with complex IT infrastructure.
· Ability to drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
Pay: ₹1,600,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
