Job Summary
Homebots is seeking an experienced Purchase Lead to manage procurement, inventory, and material planning activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing quality materials, developing vendor relationships, ensuring timely material availability, and maintaining optimum inventory levels to support project execution and business operations. The role requires strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for project and operational requirements.
- Source electrical, home automation, IoT, networking, ELV, and related materials from approved vendors.
- Obtain quotations, evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) while ensuring compliance with company procurement policies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new vendors.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
- Coordinate with Project, Stores, Finance, and Installation teams to ensure material availability for ongoing projects.
- Track supplier performance, delivery timelines, and quality standards.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing and vendor negotiations.
- Maintain procurement records, inventory reports, vendor databases, and purchase documentation.
- Resolve procurement-related issues, material shortages, and supplier discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and support periodic stock audits.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Procurement, Purchasing, and Supply Chain Management.
- Experience in Vendor Development and Vendor Relationship Management.
- Knowledge of Inventory Management and Material Planning.
- Excellent negotiation and cost optimization skills.
- Familiarity with ERP, Tally, SAP, Zoho Inventory, or other inventory management software.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational abilities.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in Procurement, Purchase, Inventory Management, or Materials Management.
- Experience in Home Automation, Electrical, ELV, Smart Building, MEP, HVAC, Security Systems, IoT, or related industries will be preferred.
