We are seeking a detail-oriented Import & Export Documentation Executive to manage and process all documentation related to international shipments. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with customs regulations, coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and internal departments, and facilitate the timely clearance and delivery of import and export consignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, verify, and process import and export documentation, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading (B/L), Air Waybills (AWB), Certificates of Origin, and other shipping documents.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, CHA, and transporters for smooth shipment execution.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, DGFT guidelines, and international trade requirements.
- Track shipments and provide timely updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Arrange customs clearance and resolve documentation-related issues.
- Maintain records of shipping documents and ensure proper filing for audits and compliance.
- Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and overseas agents regarding shipment documentation.
- Verify HS Codes, Incoterms, and shipment details before dispatch.
- Monitor import and export schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Assist in preparing reports related to shipment status, documentation, and logistics activities.
- Handle bank documentation related to Letter of Credit (L/C), Advance Payments, and export/import transactions, where applicable.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of import and export documentation procedures.
- Familiarity with customs regulations, DGFT, Incoterms, and international shipping practices.
- Knowledge of sea freight, air freight, and courier shipments.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Certification in Import & Export or Logistics (preferred).
Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in import/export documentation, freight forwarding, logistics, or international trade.
- Experience handling customs documentation, shipping documentation, and coordination with freight forwarders and customs brokers is preferred.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
