Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic MD Emergency Medicine specialist to join our Emergency Department. The candidate will be responsible for providing immediate medical care to patients with acute illnesses and injuries, ensuring rapid assessment, stabilization, and management in emergency situations. The role requires the ability to work efficiently under pressure while delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide prompt assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
- Manage medical, surgical, and trauma emergencies efficiently.
- Perform life-saving procedures such as airway management, intubation, resuscitation, and stabilization.
- Lead and coordinate emergency response teams during critical situations.
- Triage patients based on severity and prioritize care accordingly.
- Collaborate with specialists, nursing staff, and paramedical teams for comprehensive patient management.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and emergency documentation.
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, infection control policies, and patient safety standards.
- Participate in emergency drills, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical audits.
- Provide patient and family counseling regarding emergency care and treatment plans.
Qualifications
- MD / DNB in Emergency Medicine from a recognized medical institution.
- Valid registration with the Tamil Nadu Medical Council or National Medical Commission (NMC).
- Minimum 1–5 years of experience in an Emergency Department or Trauma Care setting (preferred).
- Fresh graduates with strong clinical and procedural skills may also be considered.
