Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Elevator Maintenance Technician / Lift Service Technician to carry out preventive maintenance, breakdown service, troubleshooting, repairs, and safety inspections of elevator systems.
The candidate should have practical knowledge of elevator mechanical and electrical systems and be capable of identifying and rectifying common elevator faults independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance of elevators as per company maintenance procedures.
- Carry out routine inspection and servicing of elevator mechanical and electrical components.
- Attend elevator breakdown calls and troubleshoot faults efficiently.
- Diagnose electrical, electronic, mechanical, and control-related problems.
- Check and maintain elevator control panels, wiring, relays, contactors, and safety circuits.
- Inspect and maintain elevator door systems, door operators, landing doors, and door locks.
- Check guide rails, rollers/sliders, ropes, pulleys, sheaves, and other mechanical components.
- Inspect and maintain elevator machine, motor, brake, and related components.
- Check brake operation, brake voltage, and brake clearance where applicable.
- Check elevator leveling accuracy and make necessary adjustments.
- Inspect limit switches, final limits, safety switches, and other safety devices.
- Check and troubleshoot elevator sensors, switches, encoders, and feedback systems.
- Diagnose controller and VFD/drive fault codes and rectify issues.
- Check and adjust elevator parameters when required.
- Inspect and maintain emergency alarm, emergency light, intercom/telephone, and ARD/emergency rescue systems.
- Identify worn or damaged components and recommend replacement.
- Attend customer complaints and provide proper technical solutions.
- Maintain service records, maintenance checklists, and breakdown reports.
- Coordinate with supervisors and the service team for major repairs and technical issues.
- Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely and according to company procedures.
- Maintain proper tools, spare parts, and site housekeeping.
- Travel to different customer locations for maintenance and breakdown service.

- Car door and door operator
- Guide rails and guide shoes/rollers
- Wire ropes and rope tension
- Sheave and pulley condition
- Limit and final limit switches
- Leveling sensors
- Encoder and other feedback devices
- Safety gear and related components
- ARD/emergency rescue system
- Alarm, emergency light, and intercom
- Car and landing operating buttons
- Indicators and displays
- Lubrication and mechanical components
Required Skills & Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related technical field preferred.
- 1–5 years of practical experience in elevator maintenance/service preferred.
- Strong knowledge of elevator electrical and mechanical systems.
- Good understanding of elevator safety circuits and interlocks.
- Ability to read basic electrical wiring diagrams.
- Good troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Knowledge of elevator controllers and VFD/drive systems preferred.
- Ability to use a multimeter, clamp meter, and standard service tools.
- Ability to identify electrical and mechanical component failures.
- Good knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures.
- Ability to attend emergency breakdown calls.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Physically fit and willing to travel between customer sites.
- Valid driving licence is an advantage.

We are looking for a technically skilled and responsible elevator technician who can independently attend maintenance and breakdown calls, identify faults, carry out repairs, and ensure the elevator is operating safely before leaving the site.
Candidates with hands-on elevator maintenance and breakdown experience will be strongly preferred.
