Job Description – Accounts Manager
Position: Accounts Manager
Experience: 6–8 Years
Role Purpose
The Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting, financial reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting, taxation, and project cost management. The role ensures accurate financial records, effective cash flow management, compliance with statutory regulations, and supports management with financial analysis for informed decision-making.
Key ResponsibilitiesCost Accounting
- Monitor and control approved project budgets.
- Manage project cost accounting and cost allocation.
- Monitor accounting of Bills of Work (BOW), Bills of Materials (BOM), and Bills of Services (BOS).
- Analyze project costs and recommend cost optimization measures.
- Prepare project cost reports, variance analysis, and management reports.
- Monitor project cash flow and fund utilization.
- Coordinate issuance of Letters of Credit (LCs), bank guarantees, and documentation related to capital imports.
Financial Management
- Coordinate with banks for project funding and working capital requirements.
- Manage loan documentation and follow up with financial institutions.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor liquidity.
- Support budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting activities.
Accounting & Finance
- Supervise day-to-day accounting operations.
- Ensure timely preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Maintain the General Ledger and ensure accurate accounting records.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Oversee payroll processing and salary disbursement.
- Prepare Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, Cash Flow Statement, and MIS reports.
- Monitor fixed asset accounting and depreciation.
- Ensure proper internal controls and accounting policies are implemented.
- Verify payment documents and authorize payments as per company policy.
- Conduct periodic audits of financial transactions and accounting records.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund (LWF), and other applicable statutory regulations.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities.
- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and tax payments.
- Handle financial audits and ensure audit readiness.
Reporting & Controls
- Prepare MIS reports and present financial performance to management.
- Monitor budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and implement financial policies and internal controls.
- Support management with financial analysis and decision-making.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles and Financial Reporting.
- Sound understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory compliances.
- Expertise in budgeting, cost accounting, and cash flow management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally Prime, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent).
- Experience in MIS reporting and financial analysis.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) – Mandatory.
- M.Com, MBA (Finance), CA Inter, CMA Inter, or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 6–8 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Experience in project accounting, manufacturing, engineering, EPC, or industrial organizations is preferred.
- Experience in handling statutory compliance, audits, banking, and financial reporting is essential.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
