Overview:
A Pharmacy Manager in a supermarket pharmacy oversees daily operations, ensuring safe dispensing, regulatory compliance, and high customer service standards while managing staff and inventory. Key responsibilities include managing prescription workflows, supervising pharmacy personnel, controlling stock levels, and maximizing profitability.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Operations Management: Overseeing daily activities, optimizing workflow, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
· Staff Supervision: Hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating pharmacists, technicians, and cashiers.
· Inventory & Financial Control: Ordering supplies, managing stock replenishment, monitoring cold chain logistics, and controlling expenses to maximize profitability.
· Clinical & Customer Service: Dispensing medications, advising customers on medication usage and side effects, and addressing complaints to maintain high satisfaction.
· Compliance & Safety: Maintaining accurate records, managing controlled substances, and handling audits.
Qualifications & Skills:
· A Pharmacy Degree (PharmD) and a valid state pharmacist license.
· Experience in a managerial role within a retail pharmacy setting.
· Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
· Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and inventory management.
