Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and student-centered Primary Mathematics Teacher with experience in the Cambridge/IGCSE curriculum or other international curricula. The ideal candidate will foster a love for mathematics through inquiry-based, engaging, and differentiated instruction while supporting the holistic development of primary school learners.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning
- Teach Mathematics to primary school students in accordance with Cambridge Primary/IGCSE-aligned learning frameworks.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and numeracy skills.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Use a variety of assessment strategies to monitor and support student progress.
Student Development
- Encourage critical thinking, logical reasoning, and mathematical inquiry.
- Support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Maintain high expectations for student achievement and behavior.
Assessment & Reporting
- Assess, record, and report student progress regularly.
- Maintain accurate student records and portfolios.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and interdisciplinary projects.
- Participate in parent meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
- Contribute positively to the school's academic culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Cambridge/IGCSE curriculum experience preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in Primary Mathematics.
- Experience in Cambridge Primary, IGCSE, IB PYP, or other international curricula preferred.
