Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead and supervise Government infrastructure projects related to Drinking Water Supply, Storm Water Drainage, and Underground Drainage across Gujarat. The candidate should have hands-on experience in projects executed under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), Gujarat Water Supply & Sewerage Board (GWSSB), Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC), Gujarat Urban Development Company (GUDC), Municipal Corporations, and Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).
The selected candidate will be responsible for project execution, site supervision, quality assurance, quantity measurement, billing, contractor coordination, and liaison with Government authorities while ensuring timely and quality project delivery.
Government Liaison & Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with Government departments including Gujarat Water Supply & Sewerage Board (GWSSB), Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC), Gujarat Urban Development Company (GUDC), Municipal Corporations, Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), and other statutory authorities.
- Coordinate with Executive Engineers, Deputy Executive Engineers, Assistant Engineers, Sectional Engineers, and project consultants for smooth execution of works.
Project Execution
- Supervise and execute Drinking Water Supply Projects under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).
- Manage Storm Water Drainage and Underground Drainage (UGD) works from commencement to completion.
- Execute pipeline works including HDPE, DI, MS, RCC, PVC, and related civil works.
- Supervise construction of valve chambers, manholes, pumping stations, ESRs, GLSRs, and other associated structures.
- Ensure execution as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and contract requirements.
Site Monitoring & Supervision
- Monitor day-to-day site activities and construction progress.
- Plan and manage manpower, machinery, subcontractors, and material resources.
- Ensure work quality, safety standards, and project timelines are maintained.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, Government engineers, and utility agencies.
- Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical issues.
Measurement & Billing
- Prepare and verify Measurement Books (MB).
- Prepare and certify Running Account (RA) Bills.
- Verify subcontractor measurements and bills.
- Carry out quantity calculations based on approved drawings and site measurements.
- Monitor BOQ quantities, material reconciliation, and project cost control.
- Coordinate with client engineers for measurement verification and bill certification.
Quality Control
- Ensure compliance with IS Codes, CPHEEO Manual, GWSSB, GIDC, GUDC specifications, and project quality standards.
- Supervise testing activities including hydrostatic pressure testing, leakage testing, and material quality inspections.
- Maintain quality documentation and test records.
Planning & Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Maintain project records including:
- Daily Progress Reports (DPR)
- Measurement Books
- Test Reports
- Material Approval Records
- Inspection Requests
- As-Built Drawings
- Completion Reports
- Track project milestones and prepare recovery plans when required.
Contract & Client Coordination
- Interpret tender documents, BOQs, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Manage variation items, extra works, and quantity reconciliation.
- Attend review meetings with Government departments and consultants.
- Coordinate with clients for inspections, billing approvals, and project handover.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure implementation of site safety procedures and statutory compliance.
- Promote safe work practices and conduct regular safety inspections.
- Ensure environmental and contractual compliance throughout project execution.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Surat, Gujarat (Surat)
