Key Responsibilities
- Client Assessment: Evaluate client profiles, educational backgrounds, or work history to determine eligibility for various visa categories (e.g., student, work, PR, or tourist).
- Document Processing: Assist clients in gathering, translating, formatting, and reviewing necessary documents (e.g., financial statements, academic transcripts, or police clearances) to ensure embassy compliance.
- Application Filing: Manage end-to-end application filing for universities, language tests, and government visa portals.
- Advisory & Updates: Provide clear information regarding processing timelines, fee structures, and interview preparation while staying up-to-date on changing global immigration laws.
- Lead Conversion & Sales: Handle inbound and outbound client inquiries, explain service offerings, and convert prospective leads into registered clients.
- Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact, updating clients on their visa status and addressing any concerns while maintaining high confidentiality. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Essential Skills
- Deep Regional Knowledge: Familiarity with specific immigration processes and educational systems for popular destinations like Canada, Australia, the UK, and the USA.
- Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills (often multilingual, including English, Hindi, and Punjabi in the Chandigarh/Punjab region) to effectively guide clients.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous document review skills to prevent rejections or delays due to minor errors or missing forms.
- Sales & Target Driven: Ability to hit application, conversion, and revenue targets set by the agency. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Educational Qualifications & Background
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in any stream is typically required; degrees in International Relations, Law, or Business are advantageous.
- Experience: 1 to 3+ years of prior experience in immigration consultancy, overseas education, or legal counseling is highly preferred by most agencies. [1, 2, 3, 4]
