The Associate Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for pre-primary students. The role involves assisting in classroom instruction, student care, classroom management, and implementation of age-appropriate learning activities that promote the holistic development of young learner.
Academic Support
- Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and conducting daily classroom activities.
- Support students during learning sessions, play activities, and assessments.
- Help prepare teaching-learning materials, worksheets, and classroom displays.
- Reinforce concepts taught by the Lead Teacher through individual and group support.
Student Care and Supervision
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and hygiene of students at all times.
- Assist children during arrival, dispersal, snack time, and restroom routines.
- Encourage positive behavior, social interaction, and good habits.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to students as needed.
Classroom Management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Assist in managing classroom discipline and routines.
- Support the setup and maintenance of learning corners and activity stations.
Communication and Collaboration
- Work closely with the Lead Teacher
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school events.
- Maintain effective communication regarding student progress and classroom requirements.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining attendance records and student portfolios.
- Help document classroom activities and student achievements.
- Support the preparation of reports and other academic records as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Diploma/Certification in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
- Prior experience in pre-primary education is an added advantage.

Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in pre-primary or early childhood education.
