We are looking for a Software Tester Intern who will assist the QA team in testing web and mobile applications. The intern will be responsible for understanding requirements, preparing test cases, executing manual tests, reporting bugs, and supporting the team in ensuring software quality before release.
This role is suitable for candidates who are detail-oriented, logical, curious, and interested in learning software testing and quality assurance practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand project requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.
- Prepare and execute test cases for web and mobile applications.
- Perform manual testing such as functional testing, UI testing, regression testing, smoke testing, and sanity testing.
- Identify, document, and report bugs with proper steps to reproduce.
- Verify bug fixes and perform retesting.
- Assist in preparing test reports and defect logs.
- Test application workflows across different browsers, devices, and screen sizes.
- Coordinate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to clarify issues.
- Maintain testing documentation and update test cases as required.
- Learn and follow QA processes, testing standards, and release procedures.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of web and mobile applications.
- Ability to write clear bug reports.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, or similar tools will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of SQL or API testing tools like Postman will be a plus.
