About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team on an immediate basis. The candidate should have a strong background in Civil Construction, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Commercial & Residential Buildings, Dams, Bridges, Highways, Industrial Projects, and other related construction sectors. The role involves managing mechanical systems, equipment, site operations, maintenance, and project execution activities while ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage mechanical works at construction and infrastructure project sites.
- Ensure proper installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems.
- Monitor and maintain construction machinery, equipment, pumps, compressors, generators, HVAC systems, and related assets.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and project teams for smooth project execution.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements.
- Plan preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for equipment and machinery.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
- Manage vendor coordination, equipment procurement, inspections, and service contracts.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Support project managers in achieving project milestones within budget and timelines.
- Conduct troubleshooting and resolve mechanical issues at project sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in:
- Civil Construction Projects
- Infrastructure Projects
- Real Estate Developments
- Commercial & Residential Buildings
- Dams, Bridges, Highways, Metro Projects
- Industrial Construction Projects
- Good knowledge of construction equipment, mechanical systems, and site operations.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Familiarity with MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and team coordination skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in project execution and site management.
- Knowledge of HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, pumps, DG sets, and utility systems.
- Understanding of quality control and safety regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
