Overview
The Senior Test Automation Analyst is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining robust test automation frameworks, scripts and processes to support the delivery of high-quality software solutions. The role drives the test automation strategy in alignment with organisational objectives for quality and speed to market, while ensuring effective test execution, continuous integration and delivery practices, test data and environment management, and continuous process improvement. The position also provides technical leadership through stakeholder collaboration, risk management, tool optimisation and mentoring of junior team members to build automation capability and best practices across the team.
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus
- Supporting the senior members in the delivery of the project with his/her technical expertise.
- Contribution to the project with his/her skills and resolving any blockers.
- Analyse and document the technical solutions
Operational Management
- Participate in design consultations with architects, technical analysts, and other IT team members.
- Gather, organise, and document information for IT stakeholders.
- Document and present design solutions and supporting rationale following stablish internal documentation standards.
- Identify dependencies and integration points and recommend solutions involving programs functions, interfaces.
- Submit software products for review of compliance with best practices, standards, and enterprise architecture (code review)
- Learn and enhance knowledge of the various multi-platform system support environments, utilities, and procedures.
- Deliver services with an agile approach.
- Guide and mentor less experience staff.
- Provide feedback to build team capability.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
People Leadership
- Contributing to the project team for delivery
Governance & Risk
- Reviewing at the coding standards to comply with Infosec principles

Experience & Personal Attributes
Experience
- The candidate should have minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong programming skills to develop the framework and maintain the scripts
- Developing and maintaining the automated test scripts for various projects and executing automated test cases
- Build the framework from scratch
- Collaborating with Dev and QA team to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Driving continuous improvements in automation process and tools
- Proficiency in programming languages: Java, C# , JavaScript, VBScript and Python
- Prior experience of automation on windows based application
- Ability to write clean, reusable, maintainable code for efficacy.
- Proficient knowledge of automation tools: Opentext UFT, Selenium WebDriver, Junit, Test NG, NUnit
- Continuous integration and continuous development – Jenkins, Gitlab CI : Experience integrating automation tests into CI/CD pipeline to ensure automated tests are run on every build
- Version Control Systems: Git, GitHub, GitLab: Proficiency in using version control systems for managing test automation code repo, branching, and merging.
- API Testing and Automation: Knowledge of testing REST and SOAP APIs. For API Automation writing automated scripts to validate endpoints, performance, and functional accuracy.
- Test Automation framework design (Hybrid and Data Driven).
- Database and SQL knowledge
- Knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodologies to support the business.
- Basic knowledge of security testing tools
- Working knowledge of performance testing and load testing
