Technical Sales Specialist (EPE & Enclosure Solutions)

Role Purpose:
Pepperl+Fuchs is seeking an ambitious and technically strong Technical Sales Specialist to drive business growth across India’s process automation and hazardous area industries. This role will be responsible for expanding market presence, developing strategic customer relationships, and accelerating project conversion for our industry-leading Explosion Protection Equipment (EPE) and customised enclosure solutions. You will serve as the critical link between customers, engineering teams, and commercial stakeholders, helping deliver innovative certified solutions that solve complex industrial challenges.
Role Responsibilities:
Drive regional business growth by achieving quarterly revenue targets and contributing to the national technology sales budget.
Expand market coverage by identifying, developing, and securing new opportunities with EPC contractors, OEMs, consultants, and end-users across key industry sectors.
Build and strengthen strategic relationships with customers in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Refineries, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Offshore, and other process industries.
Deliver technical consultations, product demonstrations, and solution presentations showcasing Pepperl+Fuchs’ explosion protection technologies and engineered enclosure solutions.
Collaborate closely with proposal, engineering, and sales teams to ensure fast, accurate RFQ responses and superior customer experience throughout the sales cycle.
Lead project negotiations and conversion activities to improve regional order win rates by 15–20%, securing long-term and repeat business opportunities.
Achieve key performance objectives, including doubling qualified RFQ coverage, onboarding 10–15 new strategic accounts annually, and supporting international projects executed by India-based EPCs and package vendors.
Role Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
4–8 years of successful technical sales experience within hazardous area equipment, explosion protection systems, industrial automation, control panels, or customised enclosure solutions.
Strong knowledge of explosion protection concepts and certification methodologies, including Ex d, Ex e, Ex i, Ex p, and Ex t solutions.
Solid understanding of electrical products such as Junction Boxes, Local Control Stations (LCS), Distribution Boards, Control Panels, Signalling Equipment, and Cable Glands.
Familiarity with industry standards and certifications including ATEX, IECEx, PESO, BIS, and material specifications such as Stainless Steel, Cast Aluminium, and GRP enclosures.
Established network and customer relationships within EPC contractors, OEMs, and process industry end-users across the region.
Demonstrated commercial acumen, strong communication and presentation skills, and a proven track record of winning projects, developing new accounts, and exceeding sales targets.
