Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Assessment: Evaluating students to understand their unique strengths and challenges, using various assessment tools.
- Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Designing personalized plans that outline specific goals, interventions, and accommodations for each student.
- Instruction and Support: Providing personalized and one-on-one instruction, teaching specific skills, and using alternative teaching methods to enhance engagement and knowledge retention.
- Collaboration: Working closely with parents, classroom teachers, counselors, and other specialists to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
- Communication: Keeping families informed about student progress, providing constructive feedback, and fostering open communication channels.
- Curriculum Adaptation: Modifying the curriculum and learning materials to make them accessible and relevant to students' needs.
