Roles and responsibilities of Senior Executive – PPC & Supply Chain Management
- Plan and execute production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and resource availability, ensuring alignment with business goals and project timelines.
- Assess production capacity, including labour, equipment, and materials, to ensure production schedules are feasible and align with capacity constraints.
- Track production performance, adjust schedules as needed, and ensure all tasks are completed on time and to specification. Proactively resolve scheduling conflicts and delays.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to ensure that production schedules align with material availability and technical requirements.
- Work closely with the procurement team to manage supplier relationships, ensuring the timely acquisition of materials and components needed for production. Negotiate contracts, manage supplier performance, and resolve issues that could impact production timelines.
- Oversee the inventory of raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products, ensuring that stock levels are optimized to avoid shortages or excess inventory while maintaining cost efficiency. Monitor and adjust safety stock levels based on production forecasts.
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring that materials arrive on time and are shipped to customers in compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with freight forwarders and logistics providers to ensure cost-effective and timely transportation.
- Work with the sales and operations teams to accurately forecast demand, aligning procurement and production efforts with customer requirements. Ensure alignment between demand forecasts and production scheduling.
· Identify potential risks in both production and supply chain processes (e.g., supplier delays, logistics issues, regulatory changes) and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on production timelines and costs.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations), EAR (Export Administration Regulations), AS9100, and ISO 9001. Ensure all production and procurement activities adhere to these standards.

· Work closely with quality assurance teams to integrate quality standards into production planning and supply chain processes. Ensure that materials and finished products meet aerospace and defence industry quality requirements.
· Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, production efficiency, inventory turnover, supplier performance, and cost savings. Provide actionable insights for process improvements.
- Generate regular reports for senior management on production status, supply chain performance, inventory levels, and any critical issues. Highlight areas requiring attention and improvement.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve lead times in both production and supply chain operations.
1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, quality assurance, production, procurement, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations and alignment of production schedules with material and capacity availability.
- Communicate with customers and suppliers to resolve any production or supply chain issues and ensure the smooth flow of materials and timely delivery of products.
2. Project & Resource Management:
- Support special projects and manage cross-functional initiatives aimed at optimizing production processes, improving supply chain visibility, and reducing costs.
- Manage resource allocation for both production and supply chain activities, ensuring efficient use of manpower, materials, and machinery.

- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and supply chain management software.
- Familiarity with aerospace and defence industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ITAR, AS9100, ISO 9001).
- Strong knowledge of production scheduling, capacity planning, inventory management, and procurement processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and develop actionable recommendations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration and supplier relationship management.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous.
