The Fashion Designer Faculty is responsible for teaching fashion design concepts, mentoring students, and guiding them in developing creative and technical skills. The role involves delivering lectures, supervising practical work, and staying updated with industry trends to prepare students for careers in fashion.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach courses in fashion design, including:
- Fashion illustration
- Textile science
- Pattern making & garment construction
- Fashion history and trends
- Develop lesson plans, assignments, and curriculum in line with academic standards
- Guide students in design projects, portfolios, and final collections
- Conduct workshops, demonstrations, and practical sessions
- Evaluate student performance through exams, projects, and presentations
- Mentor students for internships, competitions, and career opportunities
- Stay updated with current fashion trends, tools, and technologies
- Organize fashion shows, exhibitions, and industry visits
- Collaborate with industry professionals and institutions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design or related field
- Teaching certification (preferred, depending on institution)
- Strong knowledge of design principles, textiles, and garment construction
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD tools)
