Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy (BPT) – Mandatory
- Master's Degree in Physiotherapy (MPT) in the relevant specialization – Mandatory
- Ph.D. in Physiotherapy – Preferred (as per institutional/regulatory norms)
- Registration with the State Physiotherapy Council (where applicable)
Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of teaching/clinical experience in a recognized institution or hospital.
- Fresh postgraduates with excellent academic records may also be considered.
Job Summary
The Assistant Professor is responsible for delivering quality education to undergraduate physiotherapy students, mentoring them academically and clinically, supporting research initiatives, and contributing to departmental development while ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate BPT students as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, course materials, and teaching aids.
- Deliver lectures, practical sessions, demonstrations, and clinical teaching.
- Maintain student attendance, internal assessment records, and academic documentation.
- Evaluate assignments, practical examinations, and university examinations.
- Mentor and guide students in academics and professional development.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Supervise students during clinical postings.
- Demonstrate physiotherapy assessment and treatment techniques.
- Ensure proper patient care and ethical clinical practice.
- Coordinate with hospitals and clinical training centers.
- Maintain clinical records and documentation.
Research & Development
- Encourage student research projects.
- Publish research papers in reputed journals.
- Participate in seminars, conferences, workshops, and FDPs.
- Contribute to curriculum enhancement and academic innovation.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Participate in departmental meetings and committees.
- Assist in accreditation and regulatory documentation.
- Coordinate departmental activities, workshops, and outreach programs.
- Support admissions, student counseling, and institutional events.
- Maintain departmental records and laboratory equipment.
Student Development
- Conduct academic mentoring sessions.
- Guide students for internships and higher education.
- Support placement and career guidance initiatives.
- Address student academic concerns and provide timely feedback.
Skills Required

Pay: ₹20,000.08 - ₹27,000.46 per month
