About the Role
We're looking for a Web Developer to own and elevate our product website. You'll manage the day-to-day site, build new pages and campaigns, and translate design into pixel-perfect, performant, beautifully crafted code. The site is one of the most important things a customer touches before they buy. Your job is to make sure it tells our story clearly, loads fast, and feels great on every device.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the product website. Manage and maintain our marketing and storefront site (Shopify or similar) day to day, keeping it stable, fast, and on-brand.
- Build new pages and campaigns. Turn designs from Figma into production-ready pages: product detail pages, landing pages, seasonal promotions, and feature launches.
- Pixel-perfect implementation. Translate visual designs into clean, responsive, accessible HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that match the design at every breakpoint.
- Performance and SEO. Optimize page speed, Core Web Vitals, structured data, meta tags, and on-page SEO so the site loads fast and ranks well.
- Email and conversion assets. Build and maintain transactional and marketing email templates, popups, banners, and on-site components that drive conversion.
- Analytics and experimentation. Wire up tracking (GA4, Meta Pixel, Klaviyo, Google Tag Manager) and run A/B tests to improve key metrics.
- Quality and consistency. Keep the codebase organized, reusable, and well-documented. Test across browsers and devices before every release.
- Collaboration. Work closely with design, marketing, and product to ship beautiful, on-brand work on tight campaign timelines.
Required Skills
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Strong command of modern web fundamentals, including responsive layout, Flexbox, Grid, and clean semantic markup.
- Modern CSS workflows. Comfortable with utility-first frameworks (Tailwind) and / or component-driven CSS, plus animation and transition polish.
- Shopify (or similar e-commerce platform). Hands-on experience with Liquid, theme customization, sections, app integrations, and the Shopify ecosystem. (Or strong equivalent experience with Webflow, WordPress, Framer, Next.js, or similar.)
- Figma to code. Ability to take a design file and ship a faithful, responsive implementation without hand-holding.
- Performance and accessibility. Working knowledge of Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals, image optimization, lazy loading, and WCAG basics.
- Git and deployment workflows. Comfortable with branching, pull requests, and shipping changes safely to production.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Next.js, Astro, or other modern frameworks for marketing sites.
- Headless commerce (Shopify Hydrogen, BigCommerce, Sanity, Contentful).
- Motion and interaction work (GSAP, Framer Motion, Lottie, scroll-driven animations).
- Email development (MJML, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Postmark) and knowledge of email client quirks.
- Basic design sense. Comfortable opening Figma and making small visual calls when needed.
- SEO tooling (Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog) and structured data (schema.org, JSON-LD).
- CRO and experimentation platforms (VWO, Optimizely, Google Optimize, Convert).
What You'll Bring
- A portfolio of websites you've built or contributed to. Bonus if they're polished, fast, and visually distinctive.
- Strong taste. You notice when spacing is off, type is wrong, or an interaction feels clunky, and you fix it before being asked.
- Speed without sloppiness. You can turn a brief into a shipped page in days, not weeks, and the result still feels carefully made.
- Clear communication and comfort working closely with designers and marketers.
- Ownership mindset. The site is yours. You watch the metrics, fix the bugs, and keep raising the bar.
