Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced PCB Layout Engineer to design and develop printed circuit board layouts for high-volume consumer electronics products. The ideal candidate will work closely with electrical, mechanical, and product design teams to deliver manufacturable, cost-effective, and reliable PCB designs that meet tight form-factor, performance, and time-to-market requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Create multi-layer PCB layouts from schematics for consumer products such as Android Tablets , Android TV , IoT products, IoT Modules , Smart home electronics, IP Camera, Dash Camera etc
- Perform component placement and routing optimised for signal integrity, EMI/EMC compliance, thermal management, and manufacturability
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers on industrial design constraints, enclosure fit, and connector placement
- Work with electrical engineers to interpret schematics, stack-up requirements, and impedance-controlled routing
- Conduct design rule checks (DRC) and design for manufacturing/assembly (DFM/DFA) reviews
- Coordinate with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors to resolve manufacturing issues
- Knowledge about digital, RF, power, and analog circuit layout (USB, HDMI, MIPI, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi antennas, battery charging circuits, etc.)
- Generate and manage Gerber files, BOMs, assembly drawings, and fabrication documentation
- Participate in design reviews and support bring-up, debug, and rework of prototype boards
- Maintain layout libraries, footprints, and design standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of PCB layout experience, ideally in consumer electronics
- Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or OrCAD
- Strong understanding of signal integrity, controlled impedance, and high-speed routing principles
- Experience with multi-layer, HDI (High Density Interconnect), and flex/rigid-flex PCB designs
- Familiarity with industry standards (IPC-2221, IPC-6012, etc.)
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC design practices and thermal considerations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with RF layout and antenna design for wireless consumer products
- Familiarity with DFM tools and working directly with contract manufacturers
- Experience designing for battery-powered devices
- Knowledge of mechanical CAD tools (SolidWorks, etc.) for ECAD-MCAD collaboration
Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
