Job Title: Senior Manager – Government Relations & Sales (B2G)
Experience: 4–5+ Years
Location: Pune
Department: Public Sector & Government Business
Role Overview
As our Senior Manager for Government Sales, you will be the primary architect of our growth
within the Government of India (GoI) and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). This is not
a standard sales role; it is a high-stakes position requiring a blend of strategic patience,
technical precision in tendering, and the ability to navigate the complex corridors of Indian
bureaucracy.
You will lead our presence on GeM (Government e-Marketplace) and Government
Departments Liaison and manage the entire lifecycle from pre-tender advocacy to final
contract execution.
Key Responsibilities
● Strategic Liaison: Build and maintain deep-rooted relationships with key
decision-makers (Section Officers to Joint Secretaries) and procurement heads
across targeted Ministries (e.g., MHA, MoD, Railways, MeitY).
● GeM Ecosystem Mastery: Own the end-to-end GeM 6.0 operations, including
product uploading, brand approval, "Custom Bid" creation, and navigating the direct
purchase/L1 mechanisms.
● Tender Management: Lead the bid-management process. Identify RFPs/RFQs
early, influence technical specifications during the pre-bid stage, and ensure 100%
compliance in technical and financial bid submissions.
● Pipeline Strategy: Develop and execute a 12–18 month sales pipeline. Understand
the 8th Pay Commission budgetary shifts and align our offerings with current
government priorities (Digital India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, etc.).
● Competition Intelligence: Monitor competitor movements in the B2G space,
specifically tracking L1 trends and technical disqualification patterns to refine our
winning strategy.
What We Are Looking For (The Profile)
● The Experience: 4 to 5+ years of hardcore experience in B2G sales within India. A
proven track record of winning contracts valued at ₹5Cr – ₹50Cr+.
● The "Rolodex": An existing network within the Government of India or specific state
departments. You should know "who moves the file."
● Technical Savvy: Deep understanding of the General Financial Rules (GFR
2017/2026) and CVC guidelines governing public procurement.
● The Negotiator: Ability to navigate the L1/T1/QBS (Quality and Cost Based
Selection) models with a focus on maximizing margins.
● Communication: Exceptional command over English and Hindi (Regional languages
are a plus) to present to high-ranking officials and technical committees.
Why Join Us?
● Competitive Compensation: We offer a 75th-percentile market salary (Fixed +
Performance-linked Variable) tailored for 2026 benchmarks.
● Strategic Autonomy: You will have the "boots on the ground" authority to shape our
public sector roadmap.
● High Impact: Your work will directly contribute to India’s national infrastructure and
digital transformation journey.
● Stability & Growth: Access to a long-term career path in a department that remains
resilient regardless of broader market volatility.
