Job Title: Cashier – Food & Beverage (F&B) Department
Job Description:
A Cashier in the Food & Beverage Department is responsible for handling guest billing, processing payments, maintaining accurate cash records, and ensuring smooth financial transactions. The cashier uses the IDS Hotel Management/POS software to generate bills, record sales, process various payment methods, and prepare daily cash reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the IDS POS (Point of Sale) system for billing and cashiering.
- Generate guest bills accurately for restaurant, bar, and room service orders.
- Process cash, credit/debit card, UPI, and other digital payments.
- Post restaurant charges to guest room accounts through IDS software.
- Maintain an accurate cash float and balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
- Prepare daily cashier reports and submit cash collections to the Accounts Department.
- Handle bill corrections, discounts, refunds, and void transactions as per company policy.
- Coordinate with restaurant staff and the Front Office to ensure accurate billing.
- Resolve guest billing queries professionally and courteously.
- Follow hotel policies regarding cash handling, financial controls, and data confidentiality.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of IDS Hotel Management/POS Software.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office and email).
- Strong numerical and cash-handling ability.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Preferred Qualification:
- Graduate or Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or Commerce.
- 1–2 years of experience as an F&B Cashier or Restaurant Cashier.
Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
