**Role Overview**
We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Architect to design, modernize, and provide technical leadership for enterprise mainframe applications. The candidate will be responsible for defining architecture, driving modernization initiatives, ensuring application scalability and performance, and guiding development teams on mainframe best practices.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Define and implement architecture for large-scale mainframe applications and solutions.
* Analyze existing mainframe systems and develop modernization, migration, and transformation strategies.
* Provide technical leadership for application design, development, integration, and implementation.
* Design scalable and high-performance solutions using core mainframe technologies.
* Review application architecture, technical designs, code, and development standards.
* Identify opportunities for application optimization, re-engineering, and platform modernization.
* Design integration solutions between mainframe systems and distributed/cloud applications using APIs, messaging, and other integration patterns.
* Ensure application security, reliability, maintainability, and performance.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, developers, and infrastructure teams.
* Provide technical mentoring and guidance to development teams.
* Support production issues, root-cause analysis, and technical problem resolution.
* Prepare architecture documents, technical specifications, and solution designs.
