Job Summary: The PPC Engineer/Senior Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end production planning and control activities, ensuring efficient manufacturing operations through effective utilization of SAP PP, inventory optimization, demand planning, and shop floor coordination. The role focuses on improving productivity, controlling Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), and driving data-based decision-making to achieve production and business targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning & SAP PP
- Manage production orders in SAP PP and ensure timely release, execution, and closure.
- Execute Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and monitor material availability to support uninterrupted production.
- Perform demand planning and capacity planning aligned with customer requirements and production schedules.
- Inventory & Material Management
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and stores teams to ensure material availability.
- Analyze inventory trends and implement actions to improve inventory turnover while avoiding stock-outs.
- Conduct BOM reconciliation and ensure system accuracy between engineering and production requirements.
- Coordinate with production teams for schedule adherence and resource utilization.
- Monitor production performance and resolve planning-related constraints.
- Support manufacturing operations through effective routing management and production sequencing.
- Continuous Improvement & Quality
- Drive productivity improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes.
- Monitor and control COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) through root cause analysis and corrective actions and control the repair cost through material consumption reduction & Repair hours reduction.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.
- Generate and analyze production, inventory, and planning reports using SAP and other reporting tools.
- Develop dashboards and KPIs to track production performance, OTIF, inventory, capacity utilization, and productivity metrics.
- Provide actionable insights through data analytics to support management decision-making.
