Quality Control Manager
FMCG Industry– Food, Spices, Flour & Food Processing.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities in our FMCG manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in food quality testing, laboratory analysis, raw material inspection, process quality control, and final product approval. The candidate must ensure compliance with FSSAI, Food Safety standards, GMP, GHP, and HACCP requirements while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Control systems for raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
- Perform quality inspection and testing of spices, flour, grains, and other FMCG food products.
- Conduct physical, chemical, and sensory analysis of raw materials and finished products.
- Ensure all incoming materials meet company quality specifications before production.
- Monitor production processes to ensure consistency in product quality.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, testing instruments, and calibration records.
- Prepare Certificates of Analysis (COA), quality reports, and batch release documentation.
- Investigate customer complaints, quality deviations, and non-conforming products, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate with Production, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI regulations, GMP, GHP, HACCP, ISO 22000, and other applicable food safety standards.
- Conduct internal quality audits and assist during external audits by regulatory authorities or certification bodies.
- Train production staff on quality procedures, hygiene practices, food safety, and SOPs.
- Monitor sanitation, pest control, and hygiene standards throughout the manufacturing facility.
- Maintain complete quality documentation and laboratory records.
Testing Knowledge Required
The candidate should have practical knowledge of:
- Moisture testing
- Ash content analysis
- Mesh size testing
- Bulk density testing
- Particle size analysis
- Color and appearance evaluation
- Aroma and sensory evaluation
- Foreign matter inspection
- Adulteration detection
- Microbiological sampling and interpretation
- Packaging quality inspection
- Shelf-life and stability testing
- Water quality testing
- Weight and filling accuracy verification
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of food quality standards and laboratory testing procedures.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and testing instruments.
- Excellent understanding of FSSAI regulations and food safety compliance.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO 22000, and quality documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and quality reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in HACCP, ISO 22000, Food Safety, or Quality Management will be preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance within the FMCG/Food Manufacturing Industry.
- Experience in Spices, Flour, Pulses, Grains, Food Processing, or Packaged Food Manufacturing will be preferred.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
