Job Purpose Oversee and performing routine tests as well as advanced and specialized tests on blood samples. Test of blood group antigens, investigate abnormalities identifiable in the blood, take care of blood collection and processing, draw and type blood, and perform pre-transfusion screening. Prepare plasma and other components for transfusion. Essential duties and responsibilities • Assist in Donor motivation activities • Perform phlebotomy and related donor room activities including assisting in apheresis procedure. • Identifies and communicates abnormal test reports by alerting supervisory personnel & safe disposal of TTI reactive units as per BMW regulation. • Understand blood bank methods, demonstrates knowledge of testing processes which includes donor screening, blood grouping, cross matching, IH testing, TTI screening. • Organize work by matching blood requests with test tube labelling; sorting samples; checking labelling; logging samples; cross matching and reserving units ready for issue, keeping work surfaces clean and orderly • Performs blood component separation, labelling, and inventory transfer of blood components • Perform daily QC & Quality control of blood components produced. • Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, verifying equipment function, through routine equipment maintenance and trouble shooting; calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures; monitoring quality control measures and protocols.
Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
