Looking for a Tableau Lead / Architect with 10+ years of experience setting up end-to-end analytics solutions on Tableau. You will own the full Tableau lifecycle — from architecture, data connectivity and modeling, through dashboard development, platform administration, security, and performance, to enablement and adoption. You will be the go-to Tableau expert for the customer, translating business requirements into robust, governed, high-performing analytics.
This is a customer-facing role based in Hyderabad, requiring full-time, on-site work from the customer’s office. Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills are essential, alongside hands-on Tableau depth and the ability to lead and mentor a delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
Solution architecture & design
- Own end-to-end Tableau solution architecture — from source connectivity and data strategy to dashboards, governance, and adoption. Translate business requirements into scalable analytics designs, information architecture, and delivery roadmaps. Define standards and best practices for data sources, dashboard design, security, and performance.
Data connectivity & modeling
- Design data models and connections to enterprise sources (e.g., Snowflake, SQL, cloud data warehouses); set live-vs-extract strategy. Build and govern published / certified data sources and prepare data using Tableau Prep. Implement row-level security and semantic/metrics definitions for trusted, reusable analytics.
Dashboard development & visualization
- Develop high-impact dashboards and visualizations using advanced calculations, LOD expressions, parameters, and actions. Apply visualization and UX best practices to deliver clear, performant, self-service-ready content.
Platform administration & governance
- Administer Tableau Server / Tableau Cloud — sites, projects, permissions, content lifecycle, deployment, upgrades, and scaling. Own performance and reliability — tuning extracts, queries, and dashboards, and monitoring platform health. Establish governance — security, certification/endorsement, and content-management standards.
Tableau Expertise (end-to-end)
Deep, hands-on knowledge across the Tableau platform is essential:
- Authoring & analytics: Tableau Desktop — advanced calculations, LOD expressions, parameters, sets, actions, and complex dashboard design. Data preparation & modeling: Tableau Prep, relationships/data modeling, published and certified data sources, extracts (Hyper), and live connections. Administration: Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud — sites, projects, permissions, RLS, deployment, upgrades, scaling, and Tableau Bridge. Performance & optimization: extract and query tuning, dashboard performance, and workbook optimization. Governance & security: row-level security, content certification/endorsement, and lifecycle management. Extensibility (a plus): REST / Metadata APIs, VizQL Data Service, the Hyper API, embedding, and extensions.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years in BI/analytics, with extensive, hands-on experience setting up end-to-end solutions on Tableau. Expert in Tableau Desktop (advanced calculations, LOD, complex dashboards, and performance tuning). Strong Tableau Server / Tableau Cloud administration (sites, permissions, security, deployment, and scaling). Strong SQL and data modeling (star schema, warehousing concepts); Tableau Prep / data preparation.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Tableau certifications — e.g., Tableau Certified Data Analyst / Consultant / Architect, or Server Certified Associate. Exposure to Tableau Pulse and Tableau Agent (AI-assisted / conversational analytics). BI migration experience — moving from other BI tools to Tableau.

Pay: Up to ₹2,800,000.00 per year
