Job Title : Developer
Location : India – Bengaluru
Employment Type : Contract – 6 Months (with potential for extension)
Travel Requirement : Travel within India and overseas (Singapore / ASEAN) as required
Reports To : Delivery Center Head
Works With : Senior Developer (India), SCSK AP Singapore Lead, Partner Developers
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement features and technical components as assigned within each sprint
- Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Write clean, tested, and well-documented code following the team's coding standards
- Support integration and API development tasks connecting front-end interfaces to backend services
- Assist with UAT, defect fixing, and deployment activities under the guidance of the Senior Developer
- Update JIRA task status daily and communicate blockers promptly to the team lead
- Contribute to technical documentation, including API specs, setup guides, and release notes
- Willingness to travel within India and overseas for project workshops or delivery sprints as required
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in backend development (Python, Java, Node.js, or equivalent)
- Frontend development skills (React, Vue, or equivalent; HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
- Experience with REST API development and integration
- Database experience: PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar relational databases
- Version control using Git/GitHub
- Familiarity with JIRA or similar Agile task management tools
Agile & Process
- Solid Agile Scrum development experience – comfortable in sprint-based delivery teams
- Ability to receive direction from a senior developer and deliver within sprint timelines
- Good English communication skills for daily collaboration with the Singapore-based team
Experience
- Minimum 2–4 years of software development experience
- Experience on enterprise application projects or system integration engagements preferred
- Experience in distributed or cross-border delivery teams is a plus
Preferred / Bonus Skills
- Azure cloud platform exposure (Azure Functions, web apps, storage services)
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling
- Familiarity with SAP systems or ERP-related development
- Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) or low-code development experience
- IT security awareness – understanding of secure coding basics
